Jenn Kramer, LCSW
My style of therapy is relational, respectful, and oriented toward supporting change when it's needed. There's not one way to do therapy because it's tailored to your needs and goals. I provide a safe place to talk through difficult things. For some that is grief work, for others it might be co-creating plans to treat a mental health issue, improving communication and coping skills, or figuring out how to navigate a difficult situation. Therapy can also be a place to get clearer about who you are and who you want to be.
I have decades of experience working with entrepreneurs, creatives, healthcare professionals, people with cancer and chronic illness, and families navigating "sandwich generation" complexities, sensory challenges, ADHD and child anxiety. I also enjoy working with students transitioning to college and/or adult life, and diagnose and treat anxiety, phobias, & mood disorders.
I currently offer telehealth sessions to Texas and Oregon residents and will be offering in-person sessions later this year in Portland. Professional interests include environmental and cultural influences on health and wellbeing. I welcome diversity in my practice including but not limited to body sizes, abilities, races, sexualities, genders, religions, and health statuses.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Social Work from UT Austin, where I also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Cultural Anthropology. I am licensed to practice clinical social work in both Texas and Oregon. I enjoy time with my family and friends, listening to and playing music, being in nature, eating Mexican food, & hanging out with my dog, Apple.
Reach out to set up an initial 15-minute call. It's free, and will help us make sure I'm the right match for your therapy needs and goals. I look forward to connecting!
