I have enjoyed a long career working with healthcare professionals, educators, creatives and entrepreneurs, and families figuring out "sandwich generation" complexities, sensory challenges, and ADHD. I also have decades of experience supporting people with chronic and complex health issues (I'm one of them) as well as helping anxious kids and adults. I treat mood disorders, OCD, phobias, & anxiety in adults and children 7-12, have meditation teacher training and am myself a parent.

I tend to put both adults and kids at ease quickly as we acknowledge the reason for our work and get started on a plan. Though therapy can be daunting because it feels serious, I like to incorporate music, humor and movement as supportive tools along the way. I share some basic education about why I make the recommendations I make, and then we review treatment options and agree upon a plan together. Some issues may require only a few sessions; others may need more time.

Given the health concerns of some clients, I'm happy to mask upon request during in-person meetings. I also run an air purifier in the office.

I currently offer in-person sessions in Portland and telehealth sessions to both Texas and Oregon residents. I welcome diversity in my practice including but not limited to body sizes, abilities, races, sexualities, genders, religions, and health statuses.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Social Work from UT Austin, where I also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Cultural Anthropology and was honored with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. I'm dually licensed to practice in Texas and Oregon. I used to play bass in a band with my drummer spouse and still love listening to and playing music. I also enjoy hanging out with my family, neighbors and friends, being in nature, searching for good Mexican food, & playing with my dog, Apple.
